Volta Regional Executives Embarked on a working visit across the 18 Constituencies

 

The Volta NDC Regional Executives led by the regional Chairman, Hon.Henry Ametepe has embarked on a working visit to the eighteen (18) constituencies in the region including  Kpando where they met the Constituency Executives Committee at the party office on 30th March 2022.

The team was made of ; Regional Organizer, Mr Siki Abibu, Regional Elections Director, Mr Pascal Agbagba, Deputy Reg. Communication Officer, Mr Del Bright and Mr Ege Bright, Deputy Regional Secretary.

The Constituency Secretary gave detailed report on the replacement of the party cards and membership drive and the challenges associated with the process. 

The Regional Organizer, Mr Siki Abibu gave detailed education on the  exercise and how the process should be carried out. He also talked about the roles of each Constituency Executive in the Exercise by emphasizing on unity, togetherness and peace in order to ensure a successful re-organization.

He also added that, party victory is a game of numbers so all must at anytime embrace more and more people willing and ready to belong to the NDC fraternity.

Some questions were responded to by Mr Pascal Agbagba, the Regional Elections Director.

The Regional Chairman who was the leader of the team expressed his joy at how the Exercise is being carried out by the Constituency Chairman, Mr Godfred Agbetesi and his team. He also expressed his excitement at how challenges arising from the Exercise was addressed by the Constituency Chairman. He finally adviced the Constituency Executives Committee to be good ambassadors of the party so they could win more souls towards 2024 Victory. The Regional Chairman made a cash donation of  GHC2000.00 to the Executive Committee which was received by the Constituency Chairman on behalf of his Executives.

He then thanked the Regional team for their visit and pleaded with them to continue to pay them such a visit so to build a strong relationship between the Regional Executive and the Constituencies.

STATEMENT BY VOLTA REGIONAL ORGANIZER ON THE SUCCESSFUL PRESIDENTIAL PRIMARIES.

“ *Everyone wants success, but it only follows those who make a true approach to get it. You know the hard work and dedication has a destination which is success."*

I wish to express my sincerest gratitude to the branch, Constituency, Regional executives, former appointees and all supporters and sympathizers of the great NDC in the Volta Region for their dedication and commitment before and during the presidential campaign and elections.

Indeed, the unison with which the rank and file went to the polls is a reflection of the unity that the party endears.

I want to reiterate that, the elections are over and therefore the various camps are non existence. We have only the NDC camp going forward.

I will like appeal that, we eschew all kinds of teasing and intimidating actions on all platforms and foster unity with a common good of securing victory for the party in election 2020.

It is very important to express my disappointment in the alarming rate of rejected ballots recorded. This is an exercise by the leadership of the party across all levels. The leadership that will be responsible for education of electorates during the general election. We must take cognizance of this, going forward to address the issue of rejected votes in  our next election.

Congratulations to  H. E. JOHN MAHAMA for the massive endorsement. And to the other aspirants, though your bid to lead our great party is unsuccessful, we urge for your continued support as we march on for victory 2020.

Our collective hard work and dedication is the beginning of our journey to resounding victory.

Stilt Walkers Flaunt a Banner to Welcome H.E.John Dramani Mahama to Volta Region

Social media has been set ablaze as *JM* is seen trending everywhere in his new winsome pose with two stilt walkers who flaunt a banner welcoming him to the *Volta Region.*

Many did not acknowledge the relevance of these stilt walkers until the former first gentleman of the land alighted from his car to pose with them for this infectious picture at Dzolokpuita.
The picture has since received massive applause from a section of the public, including some nonsympathizers of the NDC.
Social media users can vouch for the fact that this picture is trending everywhere, and it'll be nice we continue to share it on our walls/platforms as we market our 2020 presidential candidate in the making.
*JM's* tour of the Volta Region is indeed making the rounds and one could clearly hear the rousing support of his candidature by delegates and supporters of the NDC. The tour of the Volta Region has so far been successful and will definitely end in success.
Many thanks to all the national, regional, constituency and branch executives, as well as the MPs and the organizers of *JM's* tour of the Volta Region.

New Year's Message of Hope By Volta Regional Organizer,Siki Abibu

*NEW YEAR'S MESSAGE OF HOPE BY VOLTA REGIONAL ORGANIZER SIKI ABIBU*

It's with a gladden heart that I wish to express my sincerest gratitude to the rank and file of the umbrella fraternity in the Volta Region.

Let our New Year's resolution be this: *We will be there for one another as fellow members of humanity, in the finest sense of the word.*

I wish to, first of all, render my apologies to persons or group of persons I may have offended during our reorganization period, branch elections, Constituency elections, regional congress especially, and national congresses.   Let us let go of all rage and bitterness so that we can collectively forge ahead for the common good of having a united and well discipline front with an ultimate goal of securing victory for our party come 2020.

All persons who perceived me in one way or the other that I  did  not support them or supported other candidates against them during the electioneering period, I plead that we leave all behind as we work hand in hand to re-energize the party for the 2020 task.

In line with my manifesto pledge, I promised to bring all persons on board to ensure efficiency in our resolve to have a well mobilized and organized front towards the general elections.

I want to use this opportunity to assure all our members that, what we witnessed in the just ended referendum in the Oti enclave will not be repeated during the upcoming general elections . Not even a shadow of it will be witnessed in the 2020 elections .

It is worthy to note that the NDC is not against the creation of the Oti and other  regions. It was actually captured in our 2016 manifesto (page 72) therefore, the party could not and should not be seen as being sabotaging an initiative we  promised during 2016 elections.

We sympathize with  our comrades who vehemently campaign against the division of our beloved region. The party will not fail in addressing some of the concerns raised  in relation to the procedures and the anomalies witnessed during the referendum.

We can confidently assure that all electoral malpractices we saw during this referendum will not happen in the general elections, come 2020.

We will continue to support our Oti brothers and sisters to ensure that the NPP will not use the creation of the Oti region to sway our support base.

We promised to work wholeheartedly in all ways possible to ensure a resounding victory for the party in the 2020 elections.

*FUNCTION*

In pursuant to Article 28 of the NDC Constitution, the Regional Organizer shall be the *Chief Field Operator* of the party whose functions include the following;

*a.* Membership Drive

*b.* Mobilize support for the party and

*c.* Ensure higher voter turn – out at any election in which the party is involved.

*VISION: WE WORK TOGETHER, WE ENJOY TOGETHER*

*A. MEMBERSHIP DRIVE*

*-* Identify individuals who in one way or the other are sitting on the fence / neglected. So that we can assign them with task looking at what they can do well. Eg. Former Appointees, Former DCE’s, Former Party Executives, Cadres and others.

*-* Identify various groups (targeted / interest) that is, Commercial Drivers, Okada Riders, Market Women Association, Artisans (Hairdressers, Dressmakers, Carpenters, Barbers and others), fisher folks, farmers and any other identifiable group.

*-* Regular visitation to the constituencies to get first hand information of challenges and to relate well with the people.

*-* Prioritization of Assembly Elections.

*B. MOBILIZATION*

*-* To ensure that paraphernalia are adequately provided and distributed at the door step of the people.

*-* Shall ensure that a Taylor is fully employed at each constituency to sew party flags. By so doing, we provide employment for party members, even in opposition.

*-* I shall provide materials through lobbying from others. Why should we go for China flags?

*SECURITY:* There should be peace and security to assure the party members that they will not be intimated under any event. Task forces will be put in place, trained and well-disciplined to fortify the security of all the constituencies.

*-* In the event that we win election, all qualified members of the task force will be recommended to be absorbed into the security services whiles the rest will be engage by other government agency.

*C. ELECTIONS*

*-* We will equip the office of the election directorate in all the constituencies with adequate gadgets / logistics. Thus will help to achieve a complete and well established data base of voter registrants in the Volta Region.

*-* Registration of fresh / first time voters will be prioritized.

*-* We will put in place mechanism to identify various locations of registrants who may not be available during the general election. This will help to facilitate their movement to the polling station and back to their destination.

*-* Identify sympathetic teachers at the second cycle institutions and the existing various patrons of TEIN for mobilization.

*CREATION OF OPPORTUNITY*

*-* I will not lobby for myself for any position in government and contract because I have to prioritize our party members from the grassroots.

*-* Hard working persons will be identified and better opportunities created for them after winning elections.

*-* Talented and gifted party members would be motivated to position themselves for appointments.

*I pledge that I shall be committed, transparent, and effective in delivering my vision and most importantly not victimizing any member or sympathizer identified with my opponents, to achieve our common and collective goals towards agenda 2020.*
